The publication collects the proceedings of the conference held in Rome in April 2019 at the Palazzo Braschi headquarters, in collaboration with the Capitoline Superintendency, the Jewish Community of Rome and the Italian Psychoanalytic Society. The volume focuses on the figures of Pollak and Freud, from Italy to Austria: the study of collecting is intertwined with the birth of psychoanalysis and in this context Freud is an examiner, but also examined. The meeting will be attended by Barbara Jatta, Director of the Vatican Museums, Anna Maria Nicolò, former President of the Italian Psychoanalytic Society and Claudio Parisi Presicce, Director of the Capitoline Museums. Moderated by Olga Melasecchi, Director of the Jewish Museum of Rome.
